We are a custom Envelope Manufacturer and Printer with over 30 years of experience.

​

The Envelope Express is a full service printer, converter, and manufacturer with flat litho, standard flexo, enhanced flexo, and jet printing capabilities. We are housed in a 250,000 square foot facility and produce over 1 billion envelopes a year. We are equipped to produce custom envelopes as small as 1-3/4 x 1-3/4 through 28 x 30.

 

Furthermore, our capabilities include: peel & seal, tear tape, latex, clasp, banding, shrink wrapping, drill hole, and string & button. We are also capable of producing OECS, OSSS, & OSCS expansions. With over 40 different paper stocks in house, including Tyvek, colored wove, recycled natural kraft, bond, C1S, and matte text, we are fully equipped to meet your envelope needs.

 

Our custom orders range from a quantity of 1,000 up through the millions with the fastest turn times in the country. As a company we have been growing for over 30 years. FOLDING EQUIPMENT

  • 1 - W+D 628: High speed web-fed envelope machine. 8 color LED UV enhanced flexo printing capabilities. 4 color process (4CP) and applies coatings (soft touch, satin/gloss varnish, pearlescent). In-line embossing. Multiple windows. Latex self-seal in-line. Folds open sides (booklets) from 3-1/4” x 4-23/32” up to 7-9/32 x 13”.

  • 3 - S.W.'S: High speed web-fed folding machine.  Has 4/2, 5/1, or 6/0 flexo printing capabilities.  Can also apply varnish.  Has multiple window capabilities.  Folds open sides (booklets) from 3” x 5” up to     7-1/4” x 11-3/4”.  Folds open ends (catalogs) & drive-ups from 3-1/4” x 5” up to 6-3/4” x 9”.  Can apply latex in line.

  • 6 - R.A.'S: High speed folding machine.  Folds commercial and open side envelopes.  Prints 2/1 color flexo and has multiple window capabilities.  Folds diecuts or web feed.  Minimum size 3” x 5”.  Maximum size 7-1/4” x 13”.

  • 1 – R.H.:  Folds commercial and open side envelopes.  No window capability.  Prints 2/1 color flexo.  Folds diecuts or web feed.  Minimum size 2-3/4” x 5”.  Maximum size 5-3/4” x 10-1/2”.

  • 2 – W.R.’s:  Folds commercial and open side envelopes.  Capable of single and double windows.  Minimum size 2-3/4” x 4”.  Maximum size 6-3/4” x 12”.

  • 1 – R.M.:  Folds small open sides (booklets), open ends (catalogs) and commercial (diagonal seam) envelopes.  Folds open ends from 1-11/16” x 1-3/4” up to 4-3/4” x 4-3/4”.  Folds open sides from 1-3/4” x 1-7/8” up to 3-1/8” x 5-1/2”.  Folds commercial envelopes from 1-3/4” x 3-5/8” up to 3-1/8” x 5-1/2”.

  • 2 – B.O.E.’s:  High speed folding machine.  1 web-fed and 1 diecut.  Prints flexo 2/1; has multiple window and inside pocket capabilities.  Can apply latex gum or peel & seal in line.  Folds open ends (catalogs) up to 13” x 17”.  Folds open sides (booklets) up to 12” x 16”.

  • 3 – M.O.’s:  Prints 2/1 color flexo and has multiple window capabilities.  Can apply peel & seal in line.  Folds open ends (catalogs) up to 13” x 17”.  Folds open sides (booklets) up to 11” x 13”.

  • 2 – S.O.’s:  Folds small open end and open side diecuts.  Can apply latex or peel & seal in line.  Folds open ends (catalogs) from 2” x 2” up to 6” x 9”.  Folds open sides (booklets) from 2” x 2” up to 5” x 5”.

  • 1 – STAUDE:  Specialty folding machine.  Folds large envelopes, pocket folders and x-ray jackets.  Folds open ends (catalogs) from 2-1/2” x 7” up to 28” x 32”.  Folds open sides (booklets) from 9” x 12” up to 18” x 28” (seams inside) & 25” x 28” (seams outside).  Can apply peel & seal in line.

  • 1 – M.O.X.:  Folds center seam expansion envelopes.  Has multiple window, pocket, and peel & seal capabilities.  Folds open end center seam envelopes from 6” x 9” up to 10” x 13”.  Folds open side center seam envelopes from 7” x 7” up to 10” x 13”.  Expansion sizes available:  ½”, ¾”, 1”, 1 ¼”, 1 ½”, 1 ¾”, 2”, 2 ½” and 3”.

PRINTING EQUIPMENT

  • 1 – SIX COLOR HEIDELBERG XL106:  Sheet fed lithography press with a roll fed Cutstar, perfector and aqueous coater.  41 ¼” x 29 ½” sheet size.  6/0 or 4/2 plus coater.

  • 1 – SIX COLOR HEIDELBERG XL75:  Flat sheet UV lithography.  23” x 29” sheet size.  6/0.

  • 1 – TWO COLOR HALM JET:  High speed imprinting of made up envelopes.  Can print two colors on two sides in one pass.  Minimum size 3-1/8” x 4-1/2”.  Maximum size 12” x 18”.

  • 1 – TWO COLOR MPF JET:  High speed imprinting of made up envelopes.  Can print two colors on coated or uncoated stocks.  Minimum size 3-1/4” x 6-1/2”.  Maximum size 13-3/4” x 15”.

  • 1 – FOUR COLOR HALM JET:  High speed imprinting of made up envelopes.  Can print 4/1 colors in one pass.  Able to print on coated or uncoated stock.  Sizes range from 3-1/4” x 4-1/2” to 9” x 15-3/4”.

  • 1 – 4 COLOR DIGITAL i-JET:  Digital imprinting of made up envelopes. Minimum size 3-1/4” x 5-1/2”.  Maximum size 10 x 18”.

  • 1 – W+D HEIDELBERG VERSAFIRE:  Digital commercial flat sheet press.  Prints 4/4 in one pass.  Minimum size 4” x 5-1/2”.  Maximum size 13” x 19”.

  

* Most of our envelope folding equipment is also equipped with flexo printing capability.

FINISHING EQUIPMENT

  • CHEETAH LATEX MACHINE:  Extends flaps and applies latex, or resealable latex, to premanufactured envelopes.  Capable of applying latex over previously gummed or latexed envelopes.

  • CLASP MACHINE:  Applies clasp to premanufactured envelopes.

  • STRING AND BUTTON:  Applies string and button to premanufactured envelopes.

  • BANDER:  Bands envelopes into bundles using plastic bands.

  • BAUM FOLDER:  Folds envelopes or sheets in half.

  • DIGIFOLDER:  Folds envelopes or sheets in half.  Capable of scoring in-line prior to folding.

  • PEEL & SEAL/TEAR TAPE MACHINE:  Extends flaps and applies peel & seal and/or tear tape to premanufactured envelopes.  Capable of extending flaps prior to applying material and turning flaps afterwards.
